Those situations could involve going out with co-workers after work, for drinks and being pulled over by the police, or celebrating a friend’s birthday at the bar and getting pulled over for falling asleep at the light, whatever the situation may

be,it was something that you just did not plan to happen. After being arrested, spending some time in jail, and paying fines, you are court ordered to have a DUI (Driving Under the Influence) Evaluation. What do you do next and what does that really mean?

Alcohol and Drug Evaluation, LLC can assist you with your needs. Alcohol and Drug Evaluation, LLC has qualified clinical staff who will complete a thorough DUI Evaluation. In the state of Georgia, if you have been charged with a DUI, you must have a substance abuse evaluation by an approved Evaluator through the DUI Intervention Program.
The DUI evaluation is the time when the Evaluator gathers all information to make an objective recommendation. A detailed interview is completed gathering substance use history, criminal history, driving records and any prior arrest history. During the DUI evaluation, a urinalysis is also completed. After the assessment, a Counseling
recommendation will follow. The Counselingrecommendation may vary depending on the outcome of the evaluation. Recommendations could be attending NA/AA support groups, individual counseling, attending and completing substance abuse groups, outpatient Counseling to inpatient residential Counseling. No matter the outcome, you will be expected to follow through with all recommendations.

Jacques Khorozian, Ph.D., LPC, MAC, SAP, CCS, is an experienced behavioral health professional with over 30 years of work in the criminal justice system, specializing in mental health and substance use disorder treatment. He serves as Chief Executive Officer of American Alternative Court Services (AACS) in Atlanta, where he conducts diagnostic and biopsychosocial assessments and develops treatment and diversion programs.

He collaborates with justice system stakeholders to improve access to behavioral health services and alternative sentencing solutions. Dr. Khorozian previously worked as a Behavioral Health Social Worker with the Fulton County Public Defender's Office, where he assessed client needs and coordinated services.

He also held a leadership role as Division Chief with the San Francisco Superior Court, managing operations and contributing to strategic initiatives. He holds a Ph.D. in Positive Psychology, a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology.

His professional memberships include the American Counseling Association (ACA), the American Positive Psychology Association (AMPPA), the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia (LPCA), the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), and the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Certification Board of Georgia (ADACBGA).

Dr. Khorozian has advanced certifications as a Certified Clinical Supervisor, Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), Family Violence Intervention Specialist, and DUI Evaluator. He is recognized for his expertise in counseling techniques, assessment, diagnosis, and culturally responsive care. His work focuses on improving population health outcomes through evidence-based behavioral health programs.
