SAP for DOT – Return to Duty Progam

AACS handles many substance abuse professional (SAP) related matters regarding the Department of Transportation. When an individual needs the services of a substance abuse professional, AACS is the right place to come. Those required to complete SAP for DOT have either failed or refused mandatory DOT alcohol or drug test. We are DOT certified to conduct SAP evaluations and give treatment recommendations accordingly. The SAP evaluation will help clear individuals who have violations on their records. The assessment takes about an hour to complete. A plan/recommendation is then created that includes a certain amount of treatment. Once all treatments and recommendations have been satisfied, a return to duty letter will be prepared. A urinalysis screen must be administered successfully (passing) before an individual can receive a return to duty letter. An individual can only gain eligibility status for returning to work from a DOT violation when all of these requirements have been met.
